    2024–2026

The subject of the contractual work is the professional repair of the enclosure wall of the Church of St. Wenceslas in Mníšek pod Brdy, built in 1743-1756. The composition of this listed church and the adjacent cemetery is exceptional, among other things, because of its dynamically shaped enclosure wall with four corner chapels.

Severely damaged parts of the stonework will be dismantled, a new foundation will be built and the masonry will be rebuilt to its original form in the course of the works. The Spanish roofing tile covering of the crown of the stone wall will be completely removed, and after the reconstruction of the masonry, the tile covering will be re-laid, with the possibility of using undamaged tiles again. The plaster of the enclosure wall will be removed in its entirety, masonry repaired and the wall will be than treated with new plaster and color paint. The works will also include the construction of additional drainage system in the St. Wenceslas Church courtyard area.

A sensitive approach to this monument will fully preserve the character and appearance of this historic monument.
